This could go down as my favorite closing day of all time. Not because of the parties and not because of the sunshine, but purely for the fact that I got to do thing I love most, SKI POW! Both Saturday and Sunday both featured over half a foot of fresh snow at opening bell. Honestly, what more can you ask for.
Now that Alta has officially closed for the season, Snowbird Resort is the only game in town. Their tentative closing date is May 17, 2015, showing once again that Snowbird has the longest ski season of any resort in Utah and the Intermountain West.
Just remember, some of the best pow days you’ll ever have happen in the spring when most skiers and riders have put their gear away for the season.
