Here we are in April and some Utah resorts have closed for the season. However, there are a handful still open and now is the time to get that last ski day in as a storm bears down on Utah. The National Weather Service is calling for nearly a foot of snow in some areas through Wednesday. Now...picture this...no crowds and fresh powder! The storm will get rolling on Tuesday and increase with the passing of a cold front. Since it is such a cold storm, there will be lingering snow right on through Wednesday. This time of year it is not uncommon to see these type of storms roll in and out, however this is quite cold so it will be like a winter day with all that fresh snow. In looking at the computer models, there looks to be a fairly unsettled pattern setting up toward the end of next week as well.
So with deals going on and these resorts still open, you can come out for a quick ski and get mid winter conditions!
If you'd like to experience a trip like us localsl, extend your stay a few days and you can ski, hike, bike and play golf all in one trip. Or, head to Southern Utah to experiece the Mighty 5. Did you know Utah has 5 National Parks? I've been to all many times and just like the ski resorts, they are all a little different. More of this come summer.
And of course, Powderhound Matt is also excited about this storm and eagerly awaiting the first flakes to drop.
